Free concert in Goudy Park 2026 line-up

After a few years away, the popular Psychedelic Rock Tribute to Woodstock band Magic Bus returns to the Concerts in Goudy Park series on Wednesday, August 12.

By Sarah Shurge – Summer is here, which means free concerts have returned to Goudy Park every Wednesday!
Each show will be 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays at the all-new Goudy Park Amphitheater (located at 3355 S. Wayne Rd.), so bring a lawn chair or blanket.
There will be food trucks and alcoholic beverages for purchase.
The dates of the concerts are as follows: July 29th is Atomic Radio, August 5th is Sunset Blvd, August 12th is Magic Bus, August 19th is Family Tradition, and August 26th is Your Generation in Concert.
There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Amphitheater in Goudy Park on Wednesday, July 29th, at 5 p.m. before the first summer concert.
July 29th, Atomic Radio covers popular Motown, pop, rock, 80’s, 90’s, and current top hits. The 5-piece cover band consists of: Deena Shields on lead vocals, Darrin Meetze on lead guitar/vocals, Dan Mazur on bass guitar/locals, Dave Wells on keys/vocals, and Randy Watson on drums/vocals. August 5th, Sunset BLVD will perform 80’s rock. Sunset BLVD will transport you back to 1987, with a show that celebrates the hits of all things 80s-rock (with a touch of pop). Originating from Detroit, Sunset BLVD covers all 80s-rock from Motley Crue, Poison, Bon Jovi and GNR, to Michael Jackson, Heart and Joan Jett. August 12th, Magic Bus will perform a Psychedelic Rock Tribute to Woodstock. Detroit Music Awards 2018 and 2021 Outstanding Tribute Band, Magic Bus “Journey to Woodstock” Concert Show is all about the songs, the look, and the feel of the Woodstock Era. August 19th, Family Tradition will perform rowdy country music. Family Tradition is no Hank Williams Jr. Tribute Band, but they give off those 90’s country vibes. Family Tradition was named “Best Band” by Hour Detroit Magazine (2021) as well as “Best Country Band” by Review Magazine in Mid-Michigan (2021, 2022, 2023, and 2025).

August 26th, Your Generation in Concert will perform pop, dance, rock, and R&B. The 8-piece band transports the audience on a musical tour celebrating five decades of pop, rock, dance, and R&B hits.
The group has shared stages with Lenny Kravitz, Flo Rida, Jason Derulo, The Billy Joel Band, Sheryl Crow, and more.
