US12 Cruise in Downtown Wayne

Classic cars, custom rides, and automotive nostalgia will once again line Michigan Avenue as enthusiasts gather for the annual Cruisin’ US-12 Car Show on Saturday, July 11, 2026. Photo by J. Byrnes

By Sarah Shurge – It’s almost that time of year again. Wayne’s annual car cruise, US12 Cruise will be happening on Saturday, July 11th.
As always, Michigan Avenue and downtown Wayne will be packed with classic and custom cars.
The cruise will begin with an opening prayer at Harry J. Will Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m., followed by their pancake breakfast and car show – Hot Cars and Hot Cakes. The parking lot opens at 8:30 a.m. Show registration is $15 per car and includes pancake breakfast. Additional tickets for adults are $5.00, kids under 12 are free.
At 10 a.m., the National Anthem and first lap to officially open the cruise will take place at Jack Demmer Ford, followed by a car show featuring a live DJ and entertainment until 2 p.m.
Mike and Monas – US12 will feature live music all day long, along with food and drink specials, and patio views of the cruise.
St. Mary Catholic Church, Wayne will host an air-conditioned vendor and craft show, family activities, food, and music throughout the day.
The Family Fun Zone will take place from 1 – 5 p.m. near the Wayne Historical Museum, First Congregational Church, and Hill Crest Bible Church. At this stop you can enjoy a live DJ, dancing, carnival games, and prizes. Vintage engines will be on display for everyone to explore. Plus, the return of the 25-foot rock wall and bungee trampolines. All ages welcome (kids are required to have an adult chaperone/must sign a waiver if they would like to participate on the rock wall or trampolines).
This stop will also have food trucks (G FAZ Pizza, I Told You! Food Truck, Kona Ice, Shinn-Dig Eats, Turkey Heaven, Cousin’s Maine Lobster, Luvlee Lemonade, and Twist and Sip) by First Congregational Church parking lot.

Spectators can enjoy an impressive display of vintage automobiles, muscle cars, hot rods, trucks, and specialty vehicles while celebrating the rich automotive heritage that makes this one of the area’s favorite summer traditions.

McDonalds on Wayne Rd/Mich Ave will have family activities and 94.7 WCSX out for the morning.
An outdoor vendor show will be in the city lot off WB Michigan Ave, west of Wayne Rd. This stop will have over 40 vendors, food trucks (Fun Food Express and El Jefe Taco), and more.
Karma Coffee and Kitchen and Books on the Ave will host their pop-up vendor shops, while serving food and ice cream.
State Wayne Theater will have the new live-action Moana movie opening weekend.
The Avenue American Bistro and Brookies Cafe will be serving food and drinks all day.
The Wayne Fire Department will be in Derby’s Alley with BBQ all day.
Cruise shirts will be sold at Kurt’s Caps and AKA Sports Custom Apparel. You can also pick up your collectable cruise keychains and 2026 classic car collector plates, while supplies last.
Porta potties will be available at each pit stop.
Thousands of cars show up each year for the cruise, and there are lots of regulars and crowd favorites expected to make an appearance. Parking lots in Downtown will be hosting local car clubs, while other cars will be driving up and down Michigan Ave.
“This [cruise] is something that has grown into something we’re so proud of. It makes all of the hard work so worthwhile,” said Lisa Kubany, Wayne DDA Marketing and Events Director. “Huge thanks to the Wayne DPW [Department of Public Works] team, Wayne Fire, and Wayne Police for taking care of our city in such a way that we’re able to pull off these events.”
This year, Wayne will be celebrating 250 years of the United States of America and 100 years of the City of Wayne, Michigan Police Department. “Our 250th year, this is a good time to celebrate our freedom, come together, and have a good time,” said Kubany. “This is a special place to call home.”
