after 50 years

The downtown Wayne parking
structure has been completely
demolished after standing for
more than 50 years. Demoli-
tion crews have now finished
taking down the aging struc-
ture and are moving into the
cleanup and site restoration
phase. The project is expected
to be fully completed by mid-
November 2025. City officials
said the removal marks the
start of future redevelopment
plans aimed at revitalizing the
downtown area and improving
public spaces for residents and
visitors.
