“Holding an event like this is important as it brings many valuable resources, services, and opportunities together for older adults in one accessible place,” said Cathy Broge, City of Wayne Community Development Administrative Assistant. “Having an opportunity to gather this critical information in person as opposed to online is invaluable.”
Broge has been working with the City of Wayne for 43 years. She has been in her current role for almost four years.
“My favorite part of my job is having the ability to serve the community in numerous capacities. I have always loved working with people,” said Broge.
The City of Wayne Commission on Aging hosts presentations at different times of the year using the vendors who participate in their expo.
They have a Senior Self Defense Class for the month of September on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. at City Hall in the Council Chambers. On Thursday, September 8th, at 3 p.m. there will be a Medicare 101 class.
