Corewell Health’s Wayne Safety Day

By Sarah Shurge – You are invited to Corewell Health’s 2026 Wayne Safety Day on Wednesday, June 24th, from 2 – 5 p.m.
Join Corewell for a free family-friendly event and resource fair to learn tips from the experts in our community on preventing accidents and injuries.
The event will include meet and greet with local police department and fire department, live demonstrations, hands-on activities, education, free injury prevention items to take home, and much more.
“Safety Day helps raise awareness, prevent injuries, and reinforce safe habits to protect both our team and the community,” said Keyla LaVeque, Corewell Health Administrative Assistant.
You could have a chance to win one of 10 bikes. There will be a bike helmet fitting station and free helmets for the first 200 children.
“A properly fitted helmet can significantly reduce the risk of head injury and ensures maximum protection,” said LaVeque.
More safety items will be provided while supplies last.
